I believe I have found the source of my blood loss. After doing research, which I already knew but conveniently forgot is that one can most often damage his or her liver from taking tylenol on a regular basis.
My doctors took me off of Ibuprofin some time back. There was a little positive change in my health when I stopped taking the otc.....over the counter medication. For YEARS, I have taken what is called a combo, 2 tylenol and 3 or 4 ibuprofin. I have never been told to stop the tylenol. I had cut back, but even still..... I took myself off of tylenol in the past couple of months, and lo and behold, my last labs looked positively better. I am to go back to UC Davis for a scan of my damaged liver.
If you or a loved one takes or has taken Ibuprofin or Tylenol, long term or often, be careful. Tylenol liver damage......it's a real thing.
My feet and ankles are doing much better since surgery. Walking takes work as I have to relearn to position my weight, but staying positive, as I will always be, I am on an upswing.......damaged liver and all.
My physician has ordered a Fibroscan to be done at UC Davis, however, there hasn't been a set date as of yet. The scan will be able to see just how damaged my liver is. My prayer is that my liver rejuvenates and regenerates and that the scan shows the damage is gone. I believe in a God of miracles, I know this because I am one.
I've been feeling a bit better and stronger these days, thanks be to God and the provisions He set forth on my life, and for His Amazing Grace. This year is my 30 year anniversary of living with full blown AIDS, and quite honestly, it's the most 'normal' I have felt in some time. God is good, not just some of the time, but ALL of the time.
Now, go out and make the right 'Choices.'
