Is worship leading a 'Choice'

I'm going to be honest, I don't understand why more churches don't have women in leadership where music is concerned. Is it that wildst in church we typically see men in these roles? I believe worship prepares our heart for a message while under the roof of God. For me, it is often a time to converse with God, often a time of repentive praise for He Who restores and gives Hope. I don't care if it is male or female, it's not about the worship leader (sorry worship leaders), it's about the guided praise and worship.

I must say, I have been to my share of churches over the years. I have sat under the direction of praise by some pretty amazing female worship leaders. I think women have a way of bringing it. I don't know, it's just one of those random thoughts......
