As Christians, we believe that gratitude is not simply a feeling that arises naturally in response to good things that happen to us. Rather, gratitude is a choice that we make every day, regardless of our circumstances.

Through the power of Christ working in us, we can 'choose' to be grateful even when things are difficult. This is not to say that we should deny or minimize the struggles we face in life, but rather that we should look for the good that God is working in and through those struggles.

The world around us often tells us that happiness comes from accumulating more things, achieving more success, or finding the perfect relationship. But as Christians, we know that true joy and contentment come from our relationship with God because of the 'choice we made to follow God and 'choose' to focus on the countless ways in which God blesses us each day, this way we are able to experience a deeper sense of gratitude and fulfillment.

When we stop to think about it, we realize that everything we have, including our very lives, are gifts from God. When we acknowledge and give thanks for these gifts, we are recognizing God's love and care for us, and expressing our trust in him.

But gratitude is not just about recognizing the blessings we have received. It's also about recognizing the goodness in others. When we express gratitude for the people in our lives who have helped us, supported us, and loved us, we are acknowledging the ways in which God works through the people around us to bless and care for us.

Gratitude is a ' choice' that we make each day, and it is a 'choice' that has the power to transform us and the world around us. As we cultivate an attitude of gratitude, we are able to see the world with new eyes - eyes that are able to see the goodness and beauty that surrounds us, even in the midst of struggle....and disappointment.

So today, let's 'choose' gratitude. Let us give thanks for all that God has done for us, and all that he continues to do. And let us express our thanks to the people in our lives who make our journey a little brighter and a little more meaningful. By doing so, we become vessels of God's grace and love to a world that so desperately needs it.
